Circumstances:
The airplane departed Iron Range Airfield at 2200LT on an operation to Rabaul. Upon takeoff, it clipped trees and crashed nearby the runway, bursting into trees. All 10 occupants were killed.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed Barksdale AFB on a flight to Walterboro, carrying five passengers and three crew members. The pilot was advised not to go, but he felt he needed to leave before an advancing snowstorm across Texas would arrive. Over the region of Monroe, Louisiana, the crew encountered poor visibility. The pilot reduced his altitude in an attempt to fly below clouds when the airplane collided with trees and crashed in the LaFourche Swamp located some 16 km east of Monroe. The wreckage was found by hunters on 3 January 1943. All eight occupants were killed.

Circumstances:
The twin engine airplane departed Douglas AAF, Arizona, on a flight to Bakersfield. Approaching the destination, the crew encountered poor weather conditions with snow and icing. In limited visibility, the airplane impacted the slope of Mt Tehachapi located 8 km southwest of Twin Lakes. The wreckage was found about 10 metres below the summit and all four occupants were killed. They were on their way to Bakersfield to visit their families for Christmas. Two others similar airplanes were following and made turns to get out of the weather and landed safely at destination.
