The airplane departed Teleghma Airfield, Algeria, on an operation to Tunis. Over the target area, it was shot down by the German Flak and crashed into the Tunis Lake, just south of Tunis Airport. All six crew members were killed.

Shortly after takeoff from Port Moresby-7 Mile Drome, while climbing to a height of 300 feet, the n°4 engine stopped. The pilot increased power to the other engines but soon afterwards, both engines n°1 and 2 also failed. With only one engine running, the airplane was ditched in the Bootless Bay and came to rest in shallow water. All eight crew members were rescued.

The airplane departed RAF Molesworth at 1030LT on an operation to Romilly-sur-Seine. South of Paris, it was shot down by a German fighter and later abandoned by the crew. The airplane crashed 2 km from Achères-la-Forêt and exploded, injuring four people on the ground. Two crew members were killed and eight others parachuted to safety, five became PoW and three evaded.
