Circumstances:
The airplane impacted a cliff located in a mountainous area north of Kuybishevo, some 25 km east of Sevastopol. All 29 occupants, 22 soldiers and seven crew members, were killed. According to the Russian Government, the accident was not caused by hostile action.
Probable cause:
Controlled flight into terrain.
