Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Docking on a maritime patrol flight off the Frisian Islands. Approaching the Dutch coast, it was shot down by a German fighter and crashed into the North Sea some 25 km north of Terschelling. All four crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Middleton St George at 2345LT on June 29 on an operation to Bremen. At 0240LT, while flying 25 km north of Schiermonnikoog Island in the Netherlands, it was badly shot about by a German fighter. The crew was able to return to England but the airplane crashed on landing at RAF Docking and was destroyed by a post crash fire. All crew member were injured and a wireless operator later died from injuries sustained.

The airplane departed RAF Bircham Newton at 2024LT for a strike on an east-bound convoy off the Dutch Frisian islands. Approaching the target area, it was badly shot about by the German Marine Flak. The crew was able to leave the combat area and attempted to return to base. Unable to reach RAF Bircham Newton, the pilot diverted to RAF Docking when, on final approach, the airplane crashed in a gunnery zone. The pilot and an airman in the gun pit were killed. Four other occupants were injured.

Circumstances:
The twin engine airplane departed RAF Bircham Newton on a test flight with six crew members on board. After practicing circuits and landings, it was seen flying at a height of about 50 feet with the undercarriage down when it stalled and crashed in an open field located two miles from RAF Docking. The airplane was destroyed and all six crew members were killed.
