Shortly after takeoff from Derzhavinsk, the pilot was forced to attempt an emergency landing due to technical reasons. The airplane crash landed in a field and came to rest, bursting into flames. The pilot escaped uninjured and the airplane was totally destroyed by fire. The pilot, sole on board, was completing a technical flight.

The airplane departed Lukhovitsy-Tretyakovo Airport at 1452LT on a ferry flight to Moscow-Vnukovo Airport, carrying a crew of three. About eight minutes after takeoff, it entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in an almost vertical attitude in a dense wooded area located near the village of Bokovo-Akulovo, some 37 km northwest of Tretyakovo Airport. The airplane disintegrated on impact and all three crew members were killed. The airplane was ferried back to Moscow following a maintenance program at Tretyakovo Airport.

After takeoff from Ivanovo-Severny AFB, while climbing, the engine n°4 caught fire. The crew decided to return to the base and initiated a circuit in a slight right bank attitude. Few dozen seconds after departure, the engine n°4 detached. The airplane later entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in a wooded area, bursting into flames. All 16 occupants were killed. The crew was en route to the airbase of Plessetsk, Arkhangelsk oblast.

The airplane was operated by the 610th Center of Combat Application and coded 42 Red. Ukraine's military intelligence agency confirmed Russian A-50 military aircraft had been downed as a result of a joint operation with the Air Force.

The crew was completing a local training flight at Kayseri-Erkilet Airport on behalf of the 12 Wing. While flying in the vicinity of the airport, he encountered technical problems and elected to return for an emergency landing. The crew performed a very low approach over the surrounding districts before landing on runway 25. After touchdown, the airplane apparently encountered issues with the left main gear, slid for few hundred metres then veered off runway to the left and came to rest in a grassy area. All crew members escaped uninjured.

The airplane departed Moscow-Chkalovsky Airport on a flight to Belgorod, carrying 65 Ukrainian soldiers, three accompanying people and six crew members. The crew started the descent to Belgorod Airport when the airplane entered an uncontrolled descent, rolled to the left and eventually crashed in a snow covered field located in Yablonovo, about 55 km northeast of Belgorod Airport. The airplane disintegrated on impact and all 74 occupants were killed. The exact circumstances of the accident remains unclear as Russian Authorities claim that the airplane has been shot down, by error or voluntarily, by a Ukrainian missile. The 65 Ukrainian soldiers were transferred to Belgorod as part of a prisoner exchange program.

After touchdown on runway 35 at Lengpui Airport, the four engine airplane encountered difficulties to stop within the remaining distance. It overran, rolled through bushes, went down an embankment and came to rest, broken in two. All 14 occupants were rescued, among them eight were injured. The plane was dispatched to Lengpui to pick up 92 soldiers from the Myanmar Army who should be repatriated to Myanmar on behalf of the 7th Squadron. These Myanmarese soldiers crossed over to India last week, following gunfights with ethnic insurgent group 'Arakan Army'.

The airplane departed U-Tapao Airport, Thailand, in the early morning, on an ambulance flight to Moscow-Zhukovsky Airport. Chartered by Gazpromavia, it was carrying four passengers and two crew members. A first fuel stop was made in Gaya, Bihar, and a second fuel stop was scheduled in Tashkent. After three hours and 45 minutes into the flight, while cruising at FL380 over the Afghan mountains, the crew declared an emergency and elected to divert to Kulob, southeast Tajikistan. Few minutes later, one of the engine failed, followed shortly later by the second one. In such conditions, the crew attempted an emergency landing when the airplane crashed on the slope of Mt Topkhana located in the province of Badakhshan, bursting into flames. Four people were rescued and two passengers were killed.
