Nottinghamshire

The crew was completing a local training mission at RAF Syerston. Shortly after takeoff, the airplane went out of control and crashed northwest of the airfield. All four crew members were killed.

The crew was completing a local training mission at RAF Newton. For unknown reasons, the airplane crashed upon landing at 2005LT and ran into the wreckage of a second Wellington registered L7813 that crashed in similar circumstances 25 minutes earlier. There were no casualties.

The crew was completing a local training mission at RAF Newton. For unknown reasons, the airplane crashed upon landing at 1940LT and was totally destroyed 25 minutes later when a second Wellington registered N2998 crashed upon landing and ran into the wreckage. There were no casualties.

The crew was completing a test flight when the airplane crashed in unknown circumstances in Laneham. All three occupants were killed.

En route from RAF Castle Bromwich, while cruising in poor visibility, the crew was forced to attempt an emergency landing for unknown reasons. The airplane collided with a hedge, lost its undercarriage and came to rest. Both occupants were uninjured and the aircraft was damaged beyond repair.

The airplane departed RAF East Wretham in the evening of October 16 on an operation to Kiel. While returning to base at night, after passing over the Dutch coast, the radio failed. The crew continued until arriving over England but eventually decided to abandon the airplane and bailed out. The airplane dove into the ground and crashed in a field located in Blidworth. A crew was killed and five other were uninjured.

Overshot and crashed at RAF Newton while completing a local training flight. The pilot was uninjured.

The crew was performing a training flight out from RAF Scampton when he lost control of the aircraft that crashed near Radcliffe-on-Trent, east of Nottingham. Both pilots were killed.

The single engine airplane departed Nottingham Airport and the pilot elected to fly over the Hospital Carnival. In limited visibility, the pilot completed hazardous manoeuvres when the airplane stalled and crashed in a field. Both occupants were killed.

The pilot, sole on board, departed RAF Upavon on a training flight to RAF Woodborough. On final approach, while performing touch & go, the pilot failed to realize his altitude was too low when the airplane collided with a hedge and crashed. The pilot was injured and the aircraft was destroyed.
