Circumstances:
The single engine aircraft departed Stockholm-Bromma Airport runway 12 at 0703LT on a charter flight to Biggin Hill, carrying two passengers and one pilot. During climbout, at an altitude of 1,500 feet, the pilot was cleared to turn right and to continue to climb to FL040. At an altitude of 2,200 feet, the aircraft entered an uncontrolled descent then partially disintegrated in the air and eventually crashed in a residential area located in Åkeslund, south of the airport, three minutes after takeoff. Several cars and apartments were destroyed but no one on the ground was injured. The aircraft was destroyed and all three occupants were killed. At the time of the accident, weather conditions were marginal with clouds and turbulences.
Probable cause:
It was determined that the aircraft was operated with a speed 30% above the maneuverable speed when, in turbulences, the left wing broke away due to excessive g loads. The aircraft entered an uncontrolled descent and partially disintegrated before final impact. A probable disconnection or malfunction of the gyro horizon/automatic pilot system as well as a wrong trim on part of the pilot were considered as contributing factors.

Circumstances:
The twin engine airplane departed Stockholm-Bromma on a charter flight to Gävle, carrying three passengers and a crew of two. On approach to Gävle Airport, the crew encountered low visibility due to the night and snow falls. On final, the pilot failed to realize his altitude was too low when the airplane struck tree tops and crashed in a wooded area located 5 km south of the airfield. SAR operations were initiated but the wreckage was found the following morning at 0900LT. A passenger survived and was evacuated to local hospital while four other occupants were killed.
Probable cause:
The crew failed to follow the published procedures for an NDB approach to Gävle Airport. Limited visibility caused by night and snow was considered as a contributing factor.

The aircraft was completing a regular schedule flight from Kristianstad to Stockholm-Bromma with intermediate stop in Växjö and Jönköping, carrying 19 passengers and a crew of three on behalf of Linjeflyg. On approach to Bromma Airport, the crew encountered marginal weather and icing conditions. At an altitude of 1,150 feet and a speed of 137 knots, flaps were deployed at an angle of 40° when control was lost. The airplane entered a nose down attitude and crashed at an angle of 110° and a speed of 210 knots in a parking lot located in the residential area of Kälvesta, about 4,5 km short of runway 12 threshold. The aircraft was totally destroyed by impact forces and a post crash fire and all 22 occupants were killed. At the time of the accident, weather conditions were considered as marginal with icing conditions and a horizontal visibility of 5 km with a cloud base at 700 feet.
Probable cause:
Loss of control on final approach due to an excessive accumulation of ice on the horizontal stabilizers after the crew lower the flaps from 32° to 40°. When control was lost, both right engines n°3 and 4 were not running at full power for undetermined reasons, which caused the deicing system to produce an insufficient temperature.

Shortly after takeoff from Bromma Airport, the airplane encountered difficulties to gain height. It stalled then crashed onto a building located by the airport. The aircraft was destroyed upon impact and both crew members were killed. There were no casualties on the ground.
Probable cause:
It was reported that the total weight of the airplane at takeoff was at the limit of the tolerance as well as the CofG. Nevertheless, the crew took off with wings, tail and stabs contaminated by ice. Thus, the stall was aggravated by the combination of ice on wings and an excessive takeoff weight in such conditions.

The crew completed a newspaper delivery flight from Bromma to Sundsvall Airport and was ready to fly back to Stockholm. After takeoff from runway 34, while climbing, the twin engine continued easterly then lost height and crashed in a wooded area located 1,750 meters from the control tower. The aircraft was destroyed, a pilot was seriously injured and the second crew member was killed.
Probable cause:
The accident was caused by an excessive climbing angle and stall with accompanying loss of altitude. The excessive climbing angle and the stall were caused partly by the fact that flight could not be maintained owing to the engine failure and partly by the fact that the aircraft's flying qualities had deteriorated as a result of snow and ice on the aircraft. Investigations also determined that the failure of the left engine during initial climb was caused by a broken intake valve.

The crew was engaged in signals intelligence-gathering operations for the Swedish National Defense Radio Establishment. The airplane was carrying a crew of three and five employees of the signals intelligence (SIGINT) on behalf of the National Defense Radio Establishment. En route, the TP-79 was shot down by the pilot of a Soviet MiG-15 fighter and crashed into the Baltic Sea off the Gotska Sandön Island. No trace of the aircraft nor the crew was found. In 1956, during an official meeting between the Swedish Prime Minister Tage Erlander and the Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev, it was confirmed by the Soviet Authorities that the aircraft has been shot down by a Soviet fighter. The wreckage was found 18 June 2003, recovered and transferred to the Swedish Air Force Museum.

Shot down by the pilot of a Soviet MiG-15 fighter.

The aircraft was engaged in a cargo flight to Jönköping, carrying a load of newspaper, four passengers and a crew of two. After takeoff from runway 13 at Stockholm-Bromma Airport in good weather conditions, the airplane climbed to a height of 20 meters when the starboard engine lost power. The aircraft, turning to the right and climbing, gradually stalled and crashed at the intersection of the runways. Three passengers and one crew member were killed and the surviving passenger and a pilot were seriously injured.
Probable cause:
The probable cause of the accident was a piloting error. The take-off speed was too low and consequently, when an engine failure occurred the aircraft stalled. The engine failure was probably caused by a lack of fuel in the tank on which the pilot had set the selector.
