Circumstances:
During the takeoff roll on runway 06, after passing decision speed, the crew started to rotate but the aircraft failed to respond. The crew aborted takeoff and initiated an emergency braking procedure. Unable to stop within the remaining distance, the aircraft overran and rolled for about 420 meters. At a speed of 210 km/h, it struck successively a 6,7 metres deep drainage ditch and a 2 metres high embankment before coming to rest, bursting into flames. 19 people including one crew member were injured while 107 other occupants were killed.
Probable cause:
It was determined that the crew did not prepare the flight according to published procedures and failed to follow the pre-takeoff checklist. As a result, the aircraft was unable to takeoff because the elevator trim was set in a landing configuration.

The approach to Jinan Airport was completed in limited visibility due to freezing fog. On final, the aircraft was too high and landed too far down the runway. Unable to stop within the remaining distance, it overran and came to rest in a ravine, bursting into flames. Three passengers were seriously injured while 38 other occupants were killed.
Probable cause:
Wrong approach configuration on part of the flying crew who continued the approach and landed the aircraft too down the runway, reducing the landing distance available. Failure of the crew to initiate a go-around and poor visibility due to freezing fog were considered as contributing factors.

On approach to Nankin Airport in poor weather conditions and low visibility, the aircraft hit the slope of a mountain and was destroyed by impact forces. All 20 occupants were killed, among them Lieutenant-General Dai Li, Chief of the Kuomintang (KMT) Army secret service.

The crew was performing a cargo flight from Hankow (now Wuhan) to Shanghai. En route, an engine caught fire and the crew decided to divert to Nankin Airport. On approach, the aircraft stalled and crashed in the district of Hsiakwan, west of Nankin, near the Yangtze River, bursting into flames. Both pilots were slightly injured and the aircraft was destroyed by a post crash fire.
Probable cause:
Engine fire in flight.

While on a mail flight from Nanking to Peking and flying over the area of Tai'an, Shandong, the crew encountered poor visibility due to foggy conditions. Too low, the aircraft impacted the slope of a mountain located in the Qingshan Mountain range. The wreckage was found 15 km northeast of Tai'an. The aircraft was destroyed and all three occupants were killed, among them the famous Chinese poet Xu Zhimo who was flying to Peking to attend a lecture given by Lin Huiyin.
Probable cause:
Controlled flight into terrain.
