Circumstances:
The seaplane was approaching Haugesund following a rescue mission when it was shot down by a RAF Mosquito registered DZ700 and crashed into the sea. The radio operator was rescued while all 15 other occupants were killed.

Circumstances:
The crew was engaged in a SAR mission after a pilot from JG 5 was declared missing. In unknown circumstances, the seaplane crashed while landing in the Motovsky Gulf and sank. All six crew members were killed.
