The pilot-in-command elected to make an emergency landing when the aircraft crashed in flames in a field located four km from the airport. All six crew members were able to evacuate the cabin and were injured while the aircraft was destroyed by fire.

The aircraft departed Seville-Tablada Airport on a flight to Valencia, carrying four passengers and four crew members. En route, the pilots encountered poor weather conditions with snow falls and icing conditions. They decided to divert to Albacete-Los Llanos AFB for an emergency landing, but on final approach, the aircraft went out of control and crashed in an open field located near Santa Ana, less than 10 km southwest from the airbase. The aircraft was destroyed and all eight occupants were killed.

The three engine aircraft left Armilla AFB in Grenada at 0730LT bound for Palma de Majorca. Few minutes later, the crew informed ground about an engine failure and elected to return when the airplane went out of control and crashed in a field located in La Peza, about 35 km northeast of Grenada. The aircraft was destroyed and all four crew members were killed.
