Circumstances:
The aircraft was engaged in a training exercise at Čáslav AFB, carrying 14 Russian soldiers and 9 Czech soldiers. Upon landing in a nose-down attitude, the aircraft bounced twice. The nose gear collapsed and the aircraft skidded on runway. Unable to stop within the remaining distance, the aircraft overran and came to rest in an open field, broken in two and bursting into flames. Seven occupants were injured, among them two seriously. The aircraft was partially destroyed by fire.
Probable cause:
Wrong approach configuration on part of the crew who completed the landing at an excessive speed of 260 km/h and in a nose-down attitude, causing the nose gear to collapse due g-load estimated between 1.6 and 3.3 g.

Circumstances:
The crew was returning to his base at Tver-Migalovo after he delivered a MiG-31 to the Voronezh Military Aviation Engineering University. While in cruising flight, the four engine aircraft entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in a snow covered prairie located near Krasny Oktyabr. The aircraft was totally destroyed and all 12 occupants were killed.

Circumstances:
The crew lined up on runway and was cleared for takeoff. Power was added on all four engine and the crew started the takeoff roll when the engine n°3 detached from its pylon, fall on the ground and rolled for about 150 metres before coming to rest. The crew stopped the airplane and evacuated safely. The aircraft was damaged beyond repair.
Probable cause:
The engine n°3 detached during the takeoff roll for unknown reasons.

On take off roll at dusk during heavy snow falls, the aircraft veered off runway to the left and collided with a snow mound (1,2 meter high). The nose gear was torn off while both main gears collapsed. All occupants escaped uninjured while the aircraft was damaged beyond repair. It was used for the Far East Command.
Probable cause:
It appears that runway was not properly cleaned from snow prior to takeoff.

Shortly after take off from Pskov Airport, while climbing to a height of about 50-70 metres, the crew encountered engine problems and elected to make an emergency landing. The aircraft lost height and crashed in a snow covered field located near the airport and came to rest. All 13 occupants escaped uninjured while the aircraft was damaged beyond repair. All passengers were skydivers (paratroopers) from the Marine Corps.
Probable cause:
Engine failure for unknown reasons.

The aircraft was dispatched to Makhachkala to deliver troops, military equipment and cargo with 7 crew members on board. Ready for the next trip to Nizhny Novgorod, the crew was cleared to taxi to the holding point of runway 14. At that time, the visibility was poor due to the night and foggy conditions. A second Ilyushin II-76MD registered RA-76827 was on approach to runway 14 with 25 passengers and a crew of six on board. On final approach, the navigator informed the crew that the headlights should be switched on but no actions was taken. In a visibility lower than 800 metres, the aircraft landed on the left part of the runway, 530 metres past the runway threshold. Almost immediately after touchdown, the airplane veered off runway to the left, rolled for about 512 metres when its left wing collided with the cockpit of the II-76 registered RA-76825 that was waiting at a position located 41 metres past the holding position markings. RA-76827 continued to roll parallel to the runway and eventually stopped 1'876 metres past the runway 14 threshold with only minor damage, and no one on board was injured. The cockpit of RA-76825 was totally destroyed and four crew members were killed while three others were injured.
Probable cause:
The accident was the consequence of the combination of the following factors:
- Poor piloting techniques on part of the landing crew,
- Rules violation on part of the captain of the taxiing aircraft,
- Errors and violations of procedures by air traffic control at Makhachkala Airport,
- Shortcomings in flight technical support at Makhachkala airport,
- After touchdown on the left side of runway 14, 530 metres after threshold, RA-76827 skidded to the left and veered off runway into soft ground. After a course of 512 metres, the left wing tip impacted the cockpit of RA-76825 that was holding at a position located 41 metres beyond the holding position marking. The presence of the aircraft beyond the holding position marking was due to non-compliant ground markings, uncoordinated actions by air traffic controllers and the fact that the captain failed to report his position to ATC,
- Shortcomings and irregularities in the organization of meteorological services at Makhachkala airport, which resulted in unsatisfactory meteorological information transmitted to the crews, leading to a landing in below minima weather conditions,
- Shortcomings in the organization of flight operations at 675 OSAP procedure, which led to a mismatch between the crew's actual level of preparedness and the complexity of the flight mission,
- An overestimation by the captain of his level of preparedness,
- The failure of the captain to divert to the alternate airport,
- A lack of discipline on part of the captain who decided to complete the landing procedure with the headlights off.

Circumstances:
The crew was performing a cargo flight to Morshansk with a load consisting of a jet fighter engine. Seven minutes after takeoff from Rzhev Airport, while climbing to an altitude of 2,600 meters, the aircraft went out of control, entered a spin and crashed in a swampy and wooded area located in Myakotino, southeast of Rzhev. All seven crew members were killed. It is believed that control was lost following an engine failure and after the crew was unable to feather its propeller.
