It crashed in unknown circumstances in the Capitan Mountains, some 30 km northeast of Ruidoso-Sierra Blanca Airport, bursting into flames. The airplane was destroyed and all four occupants were killed.

About 20 minutes into the flight, the crew contacted Kolkata Control Center and requested a rerouting because of poor weather conditions. Shortly later, the airplane entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in a flat attitude in a forest located near Simariya. The airplane was destroyed and all seven occupants were killed.

After departure, the airplane continued to the west then headed to the north and climbed to an altitude of 15,000 feet when the crew apparently encountered technical problems. About 13 minutes into the flight, the airplane impacted the slope of a mountain near Curacaví. The wreckage was spotted by the crew of a Chilean Air Force Black Hawk the following afternoon. The airplane was totally destroyed and all six occupants were killed.

In marginal weather conditions (light rain and mist), the airplane entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed with a high rate of descent on Cottman Avenue, near Roosevelt Mall, about 4,7 km southwest from the end of runway 24. The airplane disintegrated on impact and several buildings and vehicles were destroyed. All six occupants were killed as well as one people on the ground.
