Circumstances:
The crew departed RAF Bicester on a cross country navigation exercise. While cruising in limited visibility, the airplane impacted the north slope of Mt Elidir Fawr located near Llanberis. The wreckage was found near the summit and all three crew members were killed.

Upon takeoff from RAF Bicester, the airplane suffered an engine failure and crashed on a parked Albemarle registered P1459. Both airplanes were damaged beyond repair and all four crew members escaped with minor injuries.

The pilot departed RAF Bicester on a solo training flight consisting of single engine practice without the aid of flaps and glide approaches. While on approach of RAF Croughton, the airplane went out of control and crashed in a field located about 1,5 km northwest of the airbase, bursting into flames. The pilot was killed.
