Circumstances:
The crew departed Aalborg Airport on a local training exercise. In flight, the airplane suffered an apparent engine failure and crashed into the Limfjord off the airport. Three crew members were killed and one was rescued.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Bircham Newton in the morning to attack the German boat named 'Niedersachsen' which was laid outside the harbor of Hanstholm, Denmark. Over the target area, it was shot down by enemy fire and crashed into the sea about 700 metres offshore. All four crew members were killed.

While taxiing at Aalborg Airport, one of the engine caught fire. The crew stopped the aircraft and was able to evacuate the cabin before the airplane was totally destroyed by fire. There were no casualties.
