Circumstances:
The aircraft departed Cebu City on a cargo flight to Angeles City, carrying six crew members and a load of various goods on behalf of UPS. En route, a short circuit occurred in the electrical system, followed by one or more engine failure. The crew elected to divert to the nearest airport. Unfortunately, this was not possible and the captain attempted an emergency landing in a paddy field. The aircraft came to rest on an embankment and was destroyed by a post impact fire. Three crew members were killed while three others were seriously injured.
Probable cause:
In flight short-circuit on the electrical system for unknow reasons.

The crew started the approach to Iligan-Maria Cristina Airport in good weather conditions but the visibility was limited due to the night. On approach, the aircraft struck the slope of Mt Gurain located about 16 km south from runway 02 threshold. All 15 occupants were killed.

Flight 60 was a scheduled domestic flight from Lahug Airport, Cebu City, to Bacolod Airport, Negros Occidental. It departed Lahug Airport at 1519 hours on a VFR flight plan and six minutes later it made contact with Cebu Control Tower giving its ETA at Bacolod as 1555 hours. Nothing further was heard from the flight. The estimated time en route was 45 minutes. At 1700 hours the flight was declared in distress and a communication search was started. It was subsequently found that the flight had run into some tree tops on the side of Mt. Kanlaon and had crashed at Mt. Kantakan, La Carlota, Negros Occidental, at approximately 1625 hours. The wreckage was found a week later and all 10 occupants have been killed.
Probable cause:
The Board determined that the probable cause of this accident was an error of judgment on the part of the pilot to fly VFR into an instrument meteorological condition resulting in a collision with the terrain.

Just after liftoff from runway 03, while in initial climb, the captain informed ATC about the failure of the left engine. He received the permission to return for an emergency landing but the airplane stalled, banked left and crashed in a huge explosion about 4 km from the airfield. Both pilots and 26 passengers were killed while nine other occupants were injured.
Probable cause:
The accident was caused by the malfunctioning of the left engine shortly after take-off but after V2 (the takeoff safety speed). Contributing factors were:
- The darkness of the night which limited the visibility of the pilot during the emergency,
- The inappropriate emergency procedure(s) carried out, or resorted to by the pilot.

Christened 'Mount Pinatubo', the airplane departed Cebu City past 0130LT bound for the capital city, carrying journalist, members of the government and Ramon Magsaysay, President of the Republic of The Philippines. While climbing by night, the right engine lost power then failed. The crew was unable to maintain a safe altitude when the airplane struck the slope of Mt Manunggal located about 35 km northwest of the Airport. Rescuers arrived on the scene in the early morning and a passenger, a journalist of the 'Philippine Herald' was seriously injured and evacuated while 25 other occupants were killed.
Probable cause:
The accident was the consequence of the failure of the spindle drive shaft on the carburetor that snapped during climb, causing the right engine to fail.
