Circumstances:
The pilot was performing a solo training flight out from RAF Defford. The airplane suffered an engine failure and a loss of hydraulic pressure which caused the brakes to be almost ineffective. After landing at RAF Defford, the airplane was unable to stop within the remaining distance, overran and crashed into a ditch. The pilot escaped unhurt.
Probable cause:
Engine failure and brakes failure following a loss of hydraulic pressure.

Circumstances:
The crew was performing a local training flight at RAF Pershore. The airplane belly landed, slid for few dozen metres and came to rest, bursting into flames. All four crew members evacuated safely, only the tail gunner was slightly injured.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Binbrook at 0438LT on an operation to Cherbourg. While returning to base in the morning, an engine overheated and a second lost power. The pilot decided to attempt an emergency landing when the airplane crash landed in an open field located near Wythall, bursting into flames. Three crew members were killed and three others were injured. One of the survivor died two days later from injuries sustained.

The airplane departed RAF Waddington at 1710LT on November 27 on an operation to Düsseldorf. While returning to base the following night, it ran out of fuel and crash landed in a field located near the Honeybourne railway station. All four crew members escaped uninjured.
