Circumstances:
While engaged in a training mission, the airplane suffered a partial failure of the tail assembly and was abandoned by the crew. The pilot attempted an emergency landing but the airplane crashed at Elsham Hall near Brigg and was destroyed. The pilot was destroyed and the rest of the crew parachuted to safety.
