After take off from RAF Rednal, while on a ferry flight to RAF Hullavington, the aircraft failed to gain height and crashed in a field in West Felton, less than 2 miles from the airfield. Three crew members were injured while two others were killed.

The pilot was completing a solo training exercise when he lost control of the aircraft that dove into the ground and crashed in a wooded area located near the RAF Hullavington. The pilot was killed.

Circumstances:
The crew (two pilots and an instructor) was performing a local training sortie out from RAF Hullavington. Shortly after takeoff, the twin engine aircraft stalled and crashed in a wooded area, bursting into flames. Pilot Herbert William Stanton-Hope was killed while both other occupants were injured.
