Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Snaith at 2302LT on May 23 on an operation to Dortmund. While returning to base the following night, the hydraulic system failed, forcing the crew to divert to RAF Woolfox Lodge where the airplane crashed upon landing at 0358LT and was damaged beyond repair. All eight crew members escaped unhurt.
