Circumstances:
The airplane departed Tutow Airfield on a delivery flight to Finland. Passing over Latvia, it suffered an engine failure and crashed in a wooded area located 1,5 km southwest of the village of Pabaži (coordinates 57° 13' 28.11" N - 24° 23' 23.59" E). All four occupants were killed. The airplane was part of a contingent of 24 Junkers JU.88 recently purchased by the Finnish Air Force to Germany.
