The airplane departed RAF Pershore at 2245LT on June 25 on an operation to Bremen. It was shot by a German fighter and is believed to have crashed somewhere into the North Sea off the Dutch coast. Lost without trace.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Pershore at 1655LT on a cross country training exercise. While cruising at an altitude of 3,000 feet, the pilot lost control of the airplane that entered a dive and crashed in an open field. All five crew members were killed.

Circumstances:
Following a cross country flight, the crew was returning to his base at RAF Pershore when he encountered poor weather conditions over Wales with CB's and severe turbulence. The airplane went out of control and crashed in hilly terrain near Troed-y-Rhiw. All six crew members were killed.

The exact cause of the accident could not be determined. However, it is believed that the airplane entered cumulonimbus and was possibly strucked by lighting.
