The airplane departed RAF Dishforth at 2210LT on April 23 on a bombing mission to Aalborg. The exact circumstances of the accident involving this aircraft are not clear and it is believed that the airplane was probably hit by Flak while approaching the target. Later, the crew attempted an emergency landing when the aircraft crash landed in a pasture located in Hadsund, about 40 km southeast of Aalborg. The aircraft was damaged beyond repair and all five crew members became PoW. The exact location of the accident is not confirmed.

The aircraft departed RAF Mildenhall at 1755LT on a bombing mission over Aalborg, Denmark. While approaching the target at night, the aircraft was shot down by Flak. The captain attempted to make an emergency landing in the Limfjorden near Aggersund. While the aircraft was damaged beyond repair, all six occupants became PoW.

On approach to Aalborg Airport, all three engines failed. The airplane stalled and crashed. Three crew members were killed and a fourth was rescued.

During the weekend, the airplane was taking part to local pleasance flight out from Dybvad, taking part to an airshow. On August 16, a takeoff was abandoned due to insufficient airspeed and the aircraft collided with a tree, damaging the radiator and the left wing. Basic repairs have been carried out and the airplane carried more than 70 people during several sorties on August 17. After its departure from Dybvad, while climbing to a height of about 400 metres, the aircraft suffered a wing failure. The left wing detached and the airplane dove into the ground and crashed in a tourb located in Siverslet, east of Dybvad. The pilot Johannes La Cour was killed and the passenger Olthaver Larsen was seriously injured.

The single engine airplane crashed in unknown circumstances. The passenger was injured and the pilot was killed.

Probable cause:

Failure of the left wing in flight, probably due to summary repairs following a previous damage after colliding with a tree.
