Circumstances:
The crew was completing a training sortie from the Dabolim-Hansa Naval Air Station, State of Goa, on behalf of the 310th Naval Air Squadron. While flying by night, the twin engine aircraft crashed in the Indian Ocean about 45 km southwest of Dabolim Airport. A pilot was rescued and both other occupants (a second pilot and an observer) were killed.

Two Indian Navy Ilyushin II-38 were engaged in a demonstration flight at Dabolim Airport, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 315th Squadron based at Dabolim. While approaching the airfield in formation at a height of about 100 metres, both aircraft registered IN302 and IN304 collided and crashed. All 12 occupants were killed (five on board IN302 and seven on board IN304) as well as four people on the ground.

Circumstances:
The aircraft was on its way back to The Netherlands for maintenance purposes. En route from Negombo to Karachi, the crew encountered technical problems and elected to divert to Dabolim Airport for an emergency landing. While on approach at a height of 300 meters, the airplane went out of control and crashed in Vasco da Gama, near runway 26 threshold. Four crew members were seriously injured while four others were killed. A day later, all four survivors died from their injuries.
