Humanitarian

The single engine airplane was approaching Minembwe when it was shot down by FARDC soldiers and crashed in a wooded area, bursting into flames. Both pilots were injured as well as two people on the ground, a woman and her child. The airplane was apparently performing a humanitarian flight, carrying medics from Kigali. DRC Government reported that the airplane entered the Congolese airspace without permission and that the airplane failed to have any registration marks on the fuselage. The exact circumstances of the mishap remains unclear.

After landing on a dirt Runway 17 at N'Délé Airfield, the airplane was unable to stop within the remaining distance. It overran, lost its undercarriage and came to rest in bushes. All five crew members were rescued, among them two were slightly injured. The airplane was completing a humanitarian flight from Bangui on behalf of the United Nations Organization. It is believed that the airplane collided with a two metres high earth mound located short of runway, causing damage to the left main gear that collapsed after landing.

In unclear circumstances, the single engine airplane crashed after takeoff from Mandeng, South Sudan, coming to rest upside down in a marshy field. All four occupants were injured.

The twin engine airplane crashed upon landing at Malakal Airport following a special flight from Maban on behalf of the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service. It is believed that the airplane impacted obstacles upon takeoff from Maban Airport, causing both main landing gears to be sheared off. All 38 occupants were rescued.

After landing at Pieri Airstrip, the twin engine airplane went out of control, veered off runway and collided with obstacles, bursting into flames. The crew evacuated with minor injuries and the airplane was destroyed by fire. Unfortunately, three people on the ground were killed and several others were wounded.

The airplane departed Mogadishu-Aden Adde Airport on an humanitarian flight to Eelbarde, carrying four crew members and a load of various aids on behalf of the World Food Program of the United Nations. After landing on a dirt runway, the airplane failed to stop in time and eventually crashed into a house. The captain was killed and the copilot was seriously injured. Both other crew members escaped uninjured and the house was empty at the time of the accident.

The single engine aircraft departed Jigjiga Airport on a humanitarian mission to Dire Dawa, carrying two pilots and two employees of the World Food Program. En route, the crew encountered an unexpected situation and was forced to attempt an emergency landing. Upon landing, the aircraft came to rest on its nose in a near vertical position with its right wing partially torn off. All four occupants escaped with minor injuries.

The airplane was engaged in an humanitarian flight from Guatemala City to Cobán, carrying one pilot, one passenger and a load consisting of food and essential products. After takeoff from Guatemala City-La Aurora runway 02, while in initial climb, the airplane entered an uncontrolled descent, impacted trees and high tension wires before crashing in the 4th Avenue located in the Zone 9 district, approximately 980 metres from the end of runway 02. The aircraft was destroyed by impact forces and a post crash fire and both occupants were killed.

The single engine aircraft completed a humanitarian flight from Juba to Fangak on behalf of the NGO 'Nile Hope'. On board were five passengers and two pilots. During the takeoff roll on a muddy airstrip, the aircraft went out of control, veered off runway and collided with a tree. The right wing was torn off and the aircraft came to rest upside down. Two passengers were slightly injured.

The aircraft was returning to Nairobi-Eastleigh (Moi Air Base) after various supplies were delivered at Dhobley Airport on behalf of the Amisom, the African Union Mission in Somalia. Upon takeoff from Dhobley Airstrip, the aircraft crashed in unclear circumstances. All 10 occupants were injured while the aircraft was damaged beyond repair.
