Circumstances:
The airplane departed its base on a special flight to Izvaryne, carrying one pilot, one doctor and one battalion commissioner. Arriving at destination, the pilot tried to find a suitable terrain to land when, completing a last turn at low height, he lost control of the airplane that dove into the ground and crashed. All three occupants were killed. There was no hostile activities in the area at the time of the accident.

The exact cause of the accident could not be determined.

While returning to base after a combat mission, the pilot encountered poor weather conditions. Flying in heavy rain falls at a height of about 25-30 metres, the airplane descended to the ground and crashed 100 metres from the village of Dolbinskiye Vyselki. The airplane was destroyed and the pilot was killed.
Probable cause:
The decision of the pilot to continue the flight in poor weather conditions and his overconfidence while cruising at night.
