De Havilland DH.84 Dragon

Shortly after take off from Adelaide-Parafield Airport, the twin engine airplane stalled and crashed in a field located 1,5 km east of the airport. Both crew members were killed.

Few minutes after takeoff from Cairns, the twin engine airplane crashed in unknown circumstances in a dense wooded area located near the Cascade Falls, at the upper end of Redlynch Valley to the West of Cairns. Over the next three days, search aircraft could not find any sign of the wreckage in the thick jungle. Meanwhile, 11th Brigade had dispatched a large 200-man ground search party on March 8 and they located the wreck site on 10th March 3 km above Cascade Falls. The search party only found three bodies in the wreckage, so a new search was launched for the missing men. On the morning of 11th March searchers found Lt Col Cardale seriously injured and later that same day found Ac1 Appleby equally seriously injured near Freshwater Creek.

The pilot was approaching Toowoomba Airport when he encountered poor visibility due to low clouds. Too low, the airplane collided with trees and crashed in a valley located in Redwood Park, about 7 km east of Toowoomba Airfield. Both occupants were injured and the airplane was destroyed by a post crash fire.

While taking off from Popondetta Airfield, the twin engine airplane suffered a left engine failure. The airplane rolled to the left, hit the runway surface and crashed. All four occupants escaped uninjured.

The twin engine airplane crashed on landing at Musgrave Station. Both occupants escaped uninjured. One year after the accident, the airplane was declared as damaged beyond repair.

The pilot was completing a local solo training flight at RAF Squires Gate. On final approach, the airplane undershot the runway and crashed. The pilot was uninjured and the airplane was damaged beyond repair.

The airplane departed Perth on a flight to Geraldton with three passengers and a crew of two on board. While cruising along the shore, the right engine failed. The pilot was unable to maintain altitude and was forced to ditch the airplane off Cliff Head, some 32 km south of Dongara. The airplane came to rest upside down in four feet of water and was damaged beyond repair. All five occupants suffered minor injuries.

En route from Port Moresby, the airplane suffered an engine failure in flight. The crew reduced his altitude and attempted an emergency landing when the airplane crash landed on Yule Island. Both crew members were uninjured and the airplane was damaged beyond repair.

The airplane departed Darwin on a special flight to Perth, carrying evacuees, and a stop was scheduled at Wyndham Airport. Upon landing at Wyndham Airfield, the airplane was attacked by a Japanese fighter. All six occupants evacuated the airplane and were slightly injured. The airplane continued on down the runway now ablaze from the strafing and came to a stop, bursting into flames.

Shortly after take off from Wenlock Airport, while in initial climb, the left engine caught fire. The pilot Stewart G. Hack initiated a turn to the left to return for an emergency landing. On approach, the airplane stalled and crashed in a field, bursting into flames. All five occupants escaped uninjured and the airplane was destroyed by a post crash fire.
