Circumstances:
The crew was performing a survey flight to select sites for training exercises for paratroop battalion. While cruising at low altitude, the twin-engine aircraft went out of control and crashed into timber located 4 miles north of Limeburners Creek. Two crew members were rescued while three others were killed, among them the pilot.

The airplane departed Gurney Airport at 0800LT with four passengers and one pilot on board. About 10 minutes later, while overflying a ridge, the pilot encountered downdrafts. The airplane collided with trees and crashed in a wooded area located 10 km northeast of the departure point. The pilot and a passengers was killed while three other occupants were injured.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed Warruwi on a return flight to Batchelor, carrying two passengers and one pilot. Few minutes after takeoff, the pilot flew low to investigate a lugger hidden up a tidal creek. While circling around for a better look, he misjudged the height, causing the airplane to struck a tree and to crash. The lugger was crewed by Dutch servicemen who had escaped from the NEI (Netherland East Indies). The Dutchmen rescued the survivors of the crash and also made radio contact with Darwin to report the crash. A passenger was killed.

The pilot misjudged the distance between the airplane and the ground, resulting in an in-flight collision with a tree and a subsequent crash.

Circumstances:
The twin engine airplane disappeared on a flight from Sydney-Mascot to Wagga Wagga Airport (RAAF Forest Hill). Large air and ground search operations were conducted but not trace of the airplane nor the occupants was ever found. It is believed that the airplane may have crashed in the Burragorang Valley, and could possibly be submerged under the waters of Warragamba Dam.

Few minutes after takeoff from Tennant Creek, the right propeller separated from the engine. As the pilot was unable to maintain a safe altitude, he attempted an emergency landing when the airplane crash landed close to a road some 56 km north of Tennant Creek, bursting into flames. All three occupants escaped uninjured while the airplane was destroyed by fire.

Few minutes after takeoff from Cairns, the twin engine airplane crashed in unknown circumstances in a dense wooded area located near the Cascade Falls, at the upper end of Redlynch Valley to the West of Cairns. Over the next three days, search aircraft could not find any sign of the wreckage in the thick jungle. Meanwhile, 11th Brigade had dispatched a large 200-man ground search party on March 8 and they located the wreck site on 10th March 3 km above Cascade Falls. The search party only found three bodies in the wreckage, so a new search was launched for the missing men. On the morning of 11th March searchers found Lt Col Cardale seriously injured and later that same day found Ac1 Appleby equally seriously injured near Freshwater Creek.
