Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Tempsford on Operation Turnip II/Lettuce II (Special Operation Executive) and headed for Holland. It was shot down by the dual combination of German Flak and fighter and crashed in Oostzaan. Four crew members were killed and three others became PoW.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Methwold at 1643LT on operation Ramrod 16 consisting to attack an electricity power station located on the northern outskirts of Amsterdam. Over the target area, it was shot down by a German fighter and crashed in Oostzaan, north of Amsterdam. All four crew members were killed.
