Circumstances:
The airplane was engaged in a local test flight at Magadan Airport following maintenance. After takeoff, while climbing to a height of 300 metres, the airplane entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed on the left bank of the Duksha River, 4 km from the airport. Two crew members and four passengers (engineers and mechanics) were killed.
Probable cause:
The trimmer of the horizontal stabilizer had been connected in the wrong way during the repair by the PARM-1 field workshop at Magadan Airport. This mistake was not noted by the crew prior to takeoff.

Circumstances:
En route from Magadan to Khabarovsk, weather conditions deteriorated. It's only after two hours into the flight that the captain decided to return to Magadan. While cruising in clouds, the airplane impacted the ground and crashed in hilly terrain near the Kava River. The wreckage was found about 150 km west of Magadan. The airplane was destroyed by a post crash fire and all five crew members were injured.

Controlled flight into terrain.
