Circumstances:
While engaged on a routine cross country exercise, the crew encountered a severe electrical storm and before flying into clear weather, the bomber was struck by lightning. This was followed by turbulence and the Halifax began to break up, crashing at 1905LT at Clifton Farm, Clenchwarton. All seven crew members were killed.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Marham at 2257LT on an operation to Rostock. At 2320LT, it crashed in Ingrams Field roughly 100 yards from the school at Clenchwarton. All seven crew members were killed.

The crew departed RAF West Raynham on a navigation training exercise. The airplane crashed for unknown reasons at Clenchwarton, west of King's Lynn. All three crew members were killed.
