Circumstances:
The crew was completing a GCI training sortie out from RAF Hunsdon. While maneuvering in marginal weather, the crew lost control of the airplane that crashed in Bishop's Stortford. Both occupants were killed.

Probable cause:
It is believed that the pilot became disoriented in marginal weather conditions.

Circumstances:
The crew was returning to RAF Hunsdon following a patrol mission. While flying in IMC conditions, the airplane suffered an instrument failure. Both crew members bailed out and were rescued. The airplane dove into the ground and crashed in Bishop's Stortford.
