Circumstances:
The twin engine airplane departed Columbus-John Glenn (Port Columbus) Airport at 0640LT on a 30-minutes flight to Parkersburg, West Virginia. Approaching Parkersburg-Mid-Ohio Valley Airport Runway 21 at night, the airplane entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in a vertical attitude in a parking lot located southeast of Marietta, bursting into flames. The wreckage was found about 5 km short of runway 21. Both occupants were killed.
