Circumstances:
The crew was performing a cross country night training flight out from RAF Feltwell. En route, the crew encountered poor weather conditions with low clouds when the airplane impacted a hillside in Grindon. Five crew members were killed while the sixth occupant was seriously injured.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Lichfield on a night training bombing exercise. While circling in the vicinity of the airbase, the pilot became disoriented following the failure of instruments. The airplane crashed in a pasture at Echilles Farm, near King's Bromley. All seven crew members were killed.

The pilot was performing a solo training flight out from RAF Spitalgate. En route, he lost his orientation due to poor weather conditions. Probably to determine his position, he decided to reduce his altitude when the airplane impacted the ground and crashed in Fawside Edge, near Longnor. The airplane was destroyed by impact forces and a post crash fire and the pilot was killed.
