Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Pocklington at 1710LT on an operation to Wilhelmshaven. It returned early with failing engines, but was ordered to divert to RAF Lindholme. While approaching the runway, the Wellington crash landed and was damaged beyond repair. All six crew members escaped uninjured.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Lindholme at 1759LT on an operation to Ostend. While returning to base in the evening, it crashed at 2115LT at Crowtree Farm while in the airbase circuit, due to a faulty altimeter setting, which led the pilot to think he had 500 feet to go before landing. Four crew members were injured.

The crew departed RAF Binbrook on a transit flight to RAF Lindholme after Marconi had modified the radio equipment. On approach to RAF Lindholme, the crew encountered poor visibility when the airplane crashed, bursting into flames. A crew was injured.
