Moreton-in-Marsh AFB

The pilot, sole on board, was performing a training sortie in RAF Moreton-in-Marsh, consisting of stall maneuvers. While conducting an umpteenth stall, he lost control of the airplane that went into a spin. He tried to bail out but the aircraft dove into the ground and crashed in a field near the airbase. The aircraft was destroyed and the pilot was killed. For undetermined reason, the pilot's harness was not properly secured.

On final approach to RAF Moreton-in-Marsh, while on a local training sortie, the aircraft hit the ground and crashed in a field located in Long Compton, about five km east of the airfield. The aircraft was destroyed by impact forces and all five crew members were killed. The accident occurred by night and low visibility due to clouds.

The crew was performing a training exercise and was flying in the vicinity of RAF Moreton-in-Marsh when he was forced to attempt an emergency landing for unknown reason. Aircraft crash landed in a field and was written off while both occupants, an instructor and a pupil pilot were uninjured.

The airplane departed RAF Moreton-in-Marsh at 1756LT on a 'Nickel' operation. In unknown circumstances, it crashed in a field located in Stroud, some 46 km southwest of the airbase. All five crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Moreton-in-Marsh on a night cross country navigation exercise. While flying in clouds, the pilot reduced his altitude in an attempt to establish a visual contact with the ground when the airplane impacted the slope of hilly terrain near Brigg. All five crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Moreton-in-Marsh at 1830LT on January 26 on a special operation. Over the Netherlands, it was shot down by a German fighter and crashed into the Waddenzee some 5 km east of Den Helder. Six crew members were killed and one was rescued and became PoW.

The crew departed RAF Harwell on a training exercise to RAF Moreton-in-Marsh. On final approach, the airplane entered a nose up attitude then stalled and crashed near the airfield. Four crew members were killed and one was injured.

The airplane suffered an accident at RAF Moreton-in-Marsh and was damaged beyond repair. It seems there were no casualties.

The crew was performing a local training flight at RAF Moreton-in-Marsh. For unknown reasons, the airplane overshot and crashed into trees. Three crew members were killed and a fourth was injured.
