The crew departed Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport on a mine laying mission. While approaching the British coast at night, the four engine aircraft was shot down by the British Flak and crashed into the sea off Crimdon. Four crew members were killed and two others were rescued.

The crew departed Aalborg Airport on a bombing mission over Simavik and Skarsfjord. On the return trip, the four engine aircraft was shot down by the pilot of an RAF Hurricane and crashed into the Tranøyfjorden. All six occupants were killed.

The airplane named 'Kurmark' was engaged in a local test flight at Berlin-Staaken Airport. While cruising in the vicinity of the airfield, the pilot completed a low pass at high speed then initiated a climb to the left when the aircraft suffered a structural failure. The right wing partially separated then the aircraft partially disintegrated and crashed, bursting into flames. The four crew members were killed.

Probable cause:

It was determined that the accident was the consequence of a pilot error. He descended at high speed too close to the ground and then pulled up in a left turn, exceeding the permissible limit of stress.

The crew was returning to Germany following a promotional tour in Far East. While approaching Manila, all four engines stopped. The Captain ditched the aircraft off Manille. All eight occupants were rescued and the aircraft named 'Brandenburg' was damaged beyond repair.

Probable cause:

It appears that the engine failure was caused by a mismanagement of the fuel system (fuel selector) on part of the crew.
