Circumstances:
Few minutes after takeoff from Tennant Creek, the right propeller separated from the engine. As the pilot was unable to maintain a safe altitude, he attempted an emergency landing when the airplane crash landed close to a road some 56 km north of Tennant Creek, bursting into flames. All three occupants escaped uninjured while the airplane was destroyed by fire.

Failure of the right propeller that detached in flight.
