Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Topcliffe at 1826LT on an operation to Krefeld. Over the Netherlands, it was shot down by a German fighter and crashed on a farm located in Noordwijkerhout. All seven crew members as well as two children in the farm were killed. Two other people on the ground were injured.
