Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Elsham Wolds at 1851LT on an operation to Berlin. Passing south of Wilhelmshaven, it was shot down by the German Flak and crashed in Bockhorn, killing the entire crew.

The airplane departed RAF Feltwell in the evening of September 15 on an operation to Hamburg. It was shot down by a Me.110 and crashed in Bockhorn, south of Wilhelmshaven. Four crew members were killed and two others became PoW.
