Circumstances:
The aircraft departed Smyrna-Rutherford County Airport runway 32 at 1053LT with six passengers and one pilot on board. After takeoff, the aircraft entered a right turn and climbed to 2,900 feet when it lost height and descended to 1,800 feet before climbing again to 3,000 feet. It then entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in the Percy Priest Lake, about 5 km east of the airport. All seven occupants were killed, among them the American actor Joe Lara aged 58.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed Peachtree City-Falcon City Airport at 0949LT on a flight to Nashville-John C. Tune Airport. Few minutes later, while cruising in snow falls, the pilot reported technical problems with the left attitude indicator, that he would disconnect the autopilot system and was continuing manually. Shortly later, the airplane entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in a wooded area. All four occupants were killed.
