Mandø Island

The airplane departed RAF Elvington at 2121LT on April 20 on an operation to Szczecin. It was shot down by a German fighter and crashed into the sea off Mandø Island. All seven crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Bottesford at 2100LT on August 16 for mine laying duties in the Geraniums area. Approaching the Danish coast, it was shot down by a German fighter and crashed into the sea south of Mandø Island. Six crew members were killed and a seventh became PoW.

The airplane departed RAF Balderton at 2124LT on May 8 on an operation to Warnemünde. Approaching the Danish coast, it was h shot down by the German Flak and crashed into the sea off Mandø Island. All four crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Scampton to lay mines in the Kiel Bay. It crashed for unknown reasons into the sea off Mandø Island, killing the entire crew.
