Circumstances:
On approach to RAF Harlaxton, the pilot encountered poor visibility due to the night and low clouds. On short final, the airplane impacted the ground and crashed in a field short of runway. The airplane was destroyed and the pilot was injured. He was completing a mission on behalf of the Advanced Flying Unit.
