Circumstances:
The crew was completing a training mission when he was forced to attempt an emergency landing for unknown reasons. The airplane crash landed near Empingham and was destroyed. All three crew members were injured.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF North Luffenham in the evening of September 11 on an operation to Rostock. While returning to base the following morning, it crash landed at 0600LT in near Isolation Camp, Empingham. Two crew members were killed and two others were injured.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF North Luffenham at 2052LT on a mine laying operation. Three minutes after takeoff, it suffered a double engine failure and crashed in Empingham, north of the airbase. All four crew members were killed.
