Circumstances:
Few minutes after takeoff from RAF Madley, the twin engine airplane collided with a RAF Percival Proctor. Registered DX223, it was carrying two people. Following the collision, both airplane dove into the ground and crashed in Lugwardine. All nine people in both airplanes were killed.
