Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Lichfield and later crashed into a tree whilst engaged in a beat-up of a pub known to the crew, coming down 3 km east northeast from the airbase. All six crew members were killed.

Probable cause:
The pilot decided to perform an unauthorized low flight, causing the airplane to collide with a tree.
