Circumstances:
The crew was engaged in a local training exercise at RAF Kirkbride. During the takeoff roll, the airplane started to swing after being caught by strong winds. One of the landing gear collapsed and the airplane went out of control and came to rest, bursting into flames. Both crew members escaped with minor injuries while the airplane was destroyed by fire.
