Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF North Luffenham at 1215LT on a local training exercise. En route, the crew was unable to locate the airfield and attempted a single engine emergency landing when the airplane crashed in an open field located in Scottlethorpe, 4 km northwest of Bourne. All three crew members were killed.
