Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Warboys on an operation to Stuttgart. While returning to base in the late evening, it was shot down by a German fighter and crashed in Le Chanet, some 10 km west northwest of Bar-sur-Aube. Three crew members were killed and two others became PoW.
