Circumstances:
The crew was returning to base following an air firing exercise. Following an engine failure in flight, the pilot attempted an emergency landing when the airplane hit a tree and crashed 800 metres northeast of Ewerby, bursting into flames. Four crew members were killed and three others were seriously injured.
