Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Stradishall at 2340LT on June 27 on an operation to Bremen. Over the target area, it was badly damaged by the German Flak and fighters. Nevertheless, the crew was able to return to base at the end of the following night. Due to damages, the airplane landed with the undercarriage retracted and was damaged beyond repair. A crew member was killed during the attack and a second was injured.
